Development, Sector Trends and Outlook: Corporate Divestments in Germany

BLOK Management analysed 6,417 corporate divestments by German companies between 2006 and 2026. After a decade of stable activity, deal numbers have fallen sharply since 2022, and the 2026 data point to a bottoming out. More than 90% of deals with a disclosed value are below EUR 500 million, and Industrials remains the most resilient sector.
